This past weekend I had the chance to hang out with the Hwang family downtown. It was a cool early December day, but the sun was out, and it was a perfect late fall feeling afternoon to walk about and get some photos. It was fun getting to hang out with the Hwangs and walk around the currently very Christmasy Beacon Hill. Anyways, here are a couple portraits from the session.

I don’t do many family photo shoots. It’s just kinda how it works out when you’re doing this whole photography thing part-time. It’s a special treat though to photograph families like the Curtis’. For one, they are just fantastic people. Two, Michael and Tricia run this AMAZING videography business, so they have a great appreciation for visual art and it was so fun to do some exploring with them. I don’t really do the typical studio straight forward family portraits that you can pay a million other photographers to do. But it’s the kind of photos I’d want of my family… so hopefully there are others that will like it too.
Anyways, I had a great time shooting with Michael & Tricia & co. at an old college spot up on the North Shore. Catching some of the last of fall’s color.

Thanks Curtis Fam for coming out and spending an afternoon :) You guys are awesome.
