Dianne & Riccardo Preview

This past weekend I had the wonderful privilege of shooting Dianne and Riccardo’s wedding in Andover, MA. It was a HUGE wedding, with HUGE energy, and above all HUGE love. There is nothing like getting the opportunity to get to spend a whole day with fantastic people documenting, and I am looking forward to sharing photos from the day with you all soon!

Elizabeth + Gavin, May 5, 2012

It was a beautiful day.

I couldn’t have begun this year’s weddings any better than the day I had with Lizzy and Gavin. When you get to photograph moments like I did at this wedding I am deeply humbled at what I get to do for a living. It is these opportunities that keep me excited about being a wedding photographer. To say Lizzy and Gavin were overjoyed would be an understatement. The love they share and the ways their family wrapped themselves around both of them was such a cool thing to witness. Here is a little glimpse into the story of the day.

Ceremony: Calvary Baptist Church, Peabody, MA
Reception: Hellenic Center, Ipswich, MA

Congrats again Lizzy & Gavin! It was such an honor to be there documenting your special day.

Elizabeth & Gavin Preview

This past weekend began my 2012 weddings, and it really could not have begun on a better note. Some weddings are wonderful days celebrating the beauty of what’s happening all around me… and some weddings are far more than that. It was such a rich day to be able to photograph and I felt so truly honored to have been there. The joy overflowing from Elizabeth and Gavin was so deep and rich that not a single person could escape. It was just fantastic.

Looking forward to sharing with you all the photos. But for now, a little taste (hehe):

Emily & Joel, Hellertown, PA, October 29, 2011

Yes, October 29th was the day of the big October snowstorm that hit the northeast. But no weather was going to stop Emily and Joel from having a celebration of a lifetime. I do have to say, that despite some crazy uncontrollable circumstances, Emily and Joel had unbelievable pose and an attitude of overflowing joy that it could be nothing more than admired. No one could have expected that we’d see inches of snow before the start of a morning ceremony in October, or close to a foot by the end of the reception. Not to mention a loss of electricity at the start of the reception, leaving previous plans being put to the side. Through it all it was clear that Emily and Joel’s love extended far beyond the wedding day, but that their joining was only the first step of a life together. It was really inspiring.

The day really was beautiful though. Cold, yes, but fall color and snowfall makes for some amazing sights, not to mention a peaceful atmosphere. Here is a small snapshot of the day:

Emily & Joel–I can not have imagined the day going any other way. It really was perfect in the way it unfolded. Thanks for letting us be there to document!

Beth and Mike, Allentown, PA, October 15, 2011

Ebersole Photography has me along to shoot a wedding down in PA earlier this month. I could put up a full post buttttt… you can just head over to Danny’s blog to check some of the highlights out. He’s a rad photographer. You should like him on facebook.

Sheila & Matt, Philadelphia, PA, October 8, 2011

It’s always a bit scary for me when I don’t meet a client before the day of the wedding. That doesn’t happen very often, but sometimes, due to various circumstances the only time I get to see the couple is on their wedding day. I’m always so nervous because I really do end up spending a lot of time with the B&G, and I want to make sure that they don’t think I’m weird or that I don’t make them uncomfortable or that they aren’t really mean to me. Some of the fears are irrational, I know, but I’m not really ever scared about taking photos anymore, just meeting folks for the first time on their big day.

Well that big ramble was just to set to stage for how awesome Sheila and Matt were/are. Immediately they were so warm and inviting and the already absolutely gorgeous day became pure bliss. It was a dream come true to finally do some photographs in downtown Philly, though I really could have explored it for days and photographed for hours and hours.

It was simply a powerful day though. Full of love, beauty and delicious desserts.

Sheila & Matt–you guys are awesome :) Thanks so much for having us there to document your wonderful day.

Rachel & Jon, October 1, 2011 Lawrence, MA

I have said a lot about these two, but I could never say enough. They have been family since I moved to Boston and each has contributed to my life in deep and lasting ways. To see their day finally come and be able to walk along with them through much of it was such a gift.

Every wedding I photograph is special in its own way, but few will be able to compare to this day. The way their personalities and personal touches came through was so perfect and I couldn’t be happier for these two. ahhhhhhh. Insufficient with words right now… Just enjoy the photos :)

Tator & Jon. Love you both. Tip to tip. Top to bottom. Forevs.
