FAQ
How long have you been photographing?
I have been photographing commercially since the fall of 2008 and began shooting weddings in the summer of 2009.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I currently use a Nikon d700 for commercial work, and I couldn’t live without my 24mm f/1.4 & 50mm f/1.4 lenses.
Why are there so many square, black and white photographs?
For my own personal work I use a Bronica SQ-A medium format film camera. And when I shoot film I often shoot black and white, and thus, what you see are the scans of these photos. There are a number of reasons why I choose to shoot with this camera over my digital (and no, not because it’s hip). I’d love to speak with you about film v. digital or any surrounding conversation, feel free to email or tweet at me!
Do you travel?
Most definitely! My first wedding ever was shot in California. I also have shot weddings in Minnesota, across New England, Pennsylvania, New York and Jamaica.
When will our photos be ready?
For weddings I deliver photos about 4-6 weeks after the wedding day. Portrait sessions usually run 2-4 weeks after the session.
Do I get prints or digital files?
All of my clients receive digital files with rights to make personal reproductions of those photos. In addition, I offer ordering services to get professional quality prints delivered to your door along with the digital files.
How do I book you?
I require a deposit & contract for weddings (exact amount may vary) & just a deposit for portrait sessions.
