These are quite extraordinary times… but in the midst of these tough days, it is so wonderful to celebrate new life and love and the joy of family. The Bryans are some of our dear friends that we’ve made since making our home in Pittsburgh, and they recently welcomed their first child into their family. Both Ethan and Emily are incredibly thoughtful, warm, and gracious friends and getting to see their love of parenting and their little guy has been such a joy - even if it’s mostly been from afar. Enjoy a few photos from my recent time with them at their new home right on the other side of our neighborhood.
The Coryells // Bellevue, PA
It was many months in the making, but I finally got the chance to hang out with the Coryells and photograph their awesome family. Their little guy is so much fun and is pretty much always smiling anytime I see him, so it was fun to explore catching some of his expressions and moments with his mom & dad. Enjoy some highlights below!
The Calderons // Brookline, MA
Oh how I love getting to hang out and document families. Now that I've got a little one of my own - it just adds all the more joy to see others with their little kiddos. The Calderons are a special bunch, as I got to know them through photographing their wedding a couple years back, AND they were married around the time I was, AND their first child, Ben, is the same age as Madeleine. Add to that Ramon is tackling working and grad school at the moment, AND they are just wonderful people to be around. You couldn't have dreamt up a better photo shoot. Plus they chose an amazing place to take their photos. So please, enjoy.
The Dodds // Jamaica Plain, MA
Have I mentioned recently how much I love doing family shoots? I really think it's connected to my own family growing, but nonetheless, it is such an incredible experience to capture these budding and growing lives.
Recently I had such a wonderful time getting to spend some time with the lovely Dodds. Our family (and SO many others) has been a consistent recipient of the generosity and service of these two (now three!). And is has been so much fun to see their family grow and boy is Barnaby an amazing little guy.
Enjoy some photos from my visit with them:
Madeleine Jean // Born September 21
Life has flipped upside down since my last post.
I am now the unbelievably proud father of one Madeleine Jean - born on September 21, 2016. The past month has been full of some of the most unbelievable, magical, mundane, and messy days of my life... and I LOVE it. Well I love my wife and Madeleine for just being so darn amazing.
Thus, my energies have been focused upon this little nugget (in addition to work & grad school), so pardon the blog if this winter you notice I'm taking a bit of a hibernation. I will do my best to post here and there on instagram for those who want to connect.
Here are a few of my favourites so far of our daughter:
